FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Helen Stephanec Gallant of Fairfield died Nov. 6. She was 94.
Gallant was born May 15, 1919, and raised in Bridgeport, to Charles and Anna Stephanec. She was a resident of Fairfield for over 60 years. A graduate of Bassick High School, she worked for several factories throughout her career including Remington Rand. She was a member for most of her life at Holy Cross Church, including the choir, Ladies Guild, and Seniors.
Gallant is survived by her children, Charles "Skip" Gallant (Rosanne) of Fairfield, Eileen Gallant of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Yvon Gallant; and siblings, Mary and Frank Stephanec.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 9 at 12 p.m. directly in Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield. All other services will be private including her burial in Lawncroft Cemetery.
