OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Golden Eagles, a group of involved and active seniors, recently hosted the 19th annual Charity Breakfast at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Ossining to raise funds for the Ossining Food Pantry.
Group members provided and prepared all of the food for the more than 65 people who attended the event in which $1,200 was raised through ticket sales and contributions. All of the proceeds were donated to the Ossining Food Pantry.
“We are grateful to members of the Golden Eagles for their on-going support of the Ossining Food Pantry’s efforts. This donation is sorely needed and gratefully received. All funds will go directly toward our mission of feeding the needy in the Greater Ossining area," said Martin B. Engelhardt, Jr., president of the Ossining Food Pantry.
