Borough police were alerted after their boss and the Gap’s loss prevention unit discovered the thefts.

Yesterday, Jorge Jiminez of Guttenberg “drove his box truck to Fairview, where he met up with Roberto Marquez of Ridgefield,” borough Police Chief Frank Del Vecchio said.

Together, “they opened the Gap boxes of clothing and transferred some of the clothing into their own boxes,” he said. “They then resealed the boxes for delivery.”

But the employer had called police, who pulled up and grabbed both.

Jimenez and Marquez are being held on $25,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail, charged with theft and conspiracy.

Both have Municipal Court appearances set for Wednesday.
