The Ossining Historic Cemeteries Conservancy will be hosting its 3rd annual Forest O'Fears haunted hayride on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m at Cedar Lane Park. This year's hayride is inspired by Sing Sing Prison, which is located in the village and is said to be scarier than ever.

People will want to watch out for escaped inmates and be careful not to get thrown in "old sparky". After climbing a tractor drawn wagon of hay you will be pulled into the dark forest where you may encounter monsters, witches, serial killers, zombies. As you are escorted off the ride you must walk through a freak show and tunnel of terror.

Aside from murderers and zombies, there will be carnival games, a fortune teller, and food provided by Wobble Cafe and Gyro Uno. DJ Johnny G will be spinning some Halloween favorites.

More than 80 volunteers have helped put together the event. The Ossining Historical Cemeteries Conservancy assists with gravestone restoration, cleaning and historic preservation at Dale and Spara cemeteries.

Visit www.forestofears.org to purchase tickets. Organizers expect the event to sell out. The hayride is considered suitable for those 10 and over, though parental discretion is advised.
