"Bagging It" At Ossining's Farmers Market

OSSINING, N.Y. - ECOBAGS, the Ossining based business started by local resident Sharon Rowe, will be selling it's reusable bags at deeply discounted prices -- think 50 percent off -- at the Ossining Farmers Market Saturday, Nov. 8.

Rowe, a champion of the effort to eliminate plastic shopping bags, will be offering cotton bags for produce, classical European string bags, and more.

In celebration of the effort to Bring Your Own Bag to the market Mead Orchards is offering a free reusable bag with all purchases of $5 or more. Also, John D. Madura Farms is selling reusable bags for $3 each.
