Among Mitchell’s initiatives is The Kids Are United Leadership Training Program that was created specifically for high school student leadership groups.

At the Maryknoll presentation, Mitchell will discuss the harsh realities of ritualized cruelty in today’s schools and he will instruct educators, parents and student leaders about the key steps that create cruelty-free schools that foster learning.

As he spotlights the topic of bullying and the causes of this behavior, the martial artist and youth counselor also will provide a comprehensive framework that empowers adults and students to foster immediate change within the school community.

Mitchell has created successful bully-free initiatives in schools for more than a decade. As a youth speaker and mentor, he has served school groups and student leadership in high schools across the country.

Presented by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, the lecture is free and open to the public.
