In addition to private music instruction on piano, guitar, drums, voice, bass, strings, brass and woodwinds, Mike Risko Music offers the following group classes for fall 2015:
Rock Star Singing Classes
These group voice classes teach healthy singing techniques that are unique to singing contemporary music and focus on performance techniques and equipment essential for the pop/rock singer. Through vocal exercises and use of popular music, singers learn important fundamentals of singing while building strength and stamina. Classes available for Rock Stars (third through eighth grades), Rock Star Jr. (first and second grades) and Mini Rock Stars (ages 3-5).
Rock Band Workshops
Kids have the opportunity to learn how to be in a band – to collaborate, work together as a team and learn to shine as an individual within a group. Under the guidance of a musical coach, kids will play their instrument of choice in a band of their own as they prepare for their very own gig in just nine weeks. Bands are put together based on age and level. All instruments and voices are welcome to sign up.
Aladdin Kids Fall Musical Theater Workshop
All of the favorite characters from the hit Disney film are in Disney's Aladdin Kids, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides. Costumes and props along with a showcase at the end of the session make this an exciting learning experience for kids who are interested in acting and singing. Additional classes include Orchestra Boot Camp, Jazz Band Boot Camp, Group Piano for 3- and 4-Year Olds and Group Guitar Classes.
Classes for adults are also available.
